How we use your data
Conversations help Viewly's AI get better at understanding property searches over time: more accurate results, and better handling of how people actually describe what they're looking for. Here's a plain-language rundown of how that works. For the full legal detail, see our Privacy Policy.
Searching on Viewly (web and app)
By default, your Viewly chat conversations may be used to help improve Viewly's models, unless you opt out.
You can turn this off any time in Settings → Privacy and data. Opting out applies going forward only: once you opt out, new conversations won't be used, but it doesn't retroactively remove conversations from before you opted out.
Messaging an agent through Viewly Agent (WhatsApp)
This is different from searching on Viewly directly, because the person messaging an agent on WhatsApp never signed up for Viewly themselves. The agent turned on Viewly Agent for their own account, not on the customer's behalf.
Because of that, WhatsApp conversations between a customer and an agent are not used to train or improve Viewly's models by default, regardless of the agent's own account settings. If that ever changes, any conversations used would be de-identified first.
This section is still under product and legal review, including whether customers should see a disclosure at the start of a WhatsApp conversation, so they, not just the agent, are informed. We'll update this page once that's finalized.
What the process looks like
Where conversation data is used to improve our models, personal information is reduced before it's used. We're keeping the details of that process general for now until it's fully confirmed with our engineering team, and will publish specifics here once we can stand behind them.
